Morrells Pre-Catalyst Lacquers

A high build, clear, 32% solids, fast drying pre-catalysed sealer specifically formulated for use on MDF substrates. Due to the nature of the solvents this product will not encourage the dissolution of waxes at the MDF surface.

Suitable for use under all Morrells clear and pigmented Pre-Catalyst Lacquers. Excellent hold-up on MDF edges and easy to sand. Also available in a cellulose version for rapid drying and improved hold up when spraying MDF vertical surfaces (2004/300).

A hydrocarbon-free, pre-catalysed fast drying, easy to sand, single pack white primer with good covering power. Formulated for compatibility with MDF and suitable for all wooden substrates. Also available in Dark Grey (278/606) and Black (968/W02C).

Ideal for overcoating with Fastmatch® Pre-Catalyst Colours, or other Morrells Pre-Catalyst Lacquers.

A clear, high quality, medium 25% solids fast drying pre-catalysed lacquer for manual or automatic spray application, coat-on-coat or over Morrells /250 Pre-Catalyst Basecoat. Also available in a ‘waxy-feel’ version.

A very fast drying, high opacity range of durable single pack pre-catalysed interior coatings suitable for all areas where resistance to aggressive abrasion, heat or chemical attack is not required. Available in White (BS 00-E-55) Black (BS00-E-53) and a wide spectrum of Fastmatch® colours.

Apply coat on coat or over /519 Fastmatch® Pre-Catalyst Primer.

A pre-catalysed system specifically formulated for brush application. This range can be used over any of the recommended basecoats or coat-on-coat.

If recommended basecoats are in use, thin the Brushing Lacquer with Retarder Thinners up to a maximum of 5% by volume to allow better flow and wetting. 

Meets the requirements of FIRA 6250 for Horizontal Surfaces (excluding kitchen worktops) in General Use. Tintable with Morrells Light Fast Stains. Designed for application by mop or brush.

MultiPrime™ is a quick drying, high build, high opacity white single-pack primer specifically formulated for use on multiple substrates including MDF, wood-based products, melamine foils, paper/plastic laminates and aluminium.

As all substrates, especially non-wooden substrates, have different surfaces and may have mould-release or press-release remnants on them it is important to do to an appropriate test for adhesion on a piece that is replicative of the job in hand, and to confirm that the level of adhesion is acceptable.

MultiPrime can be used as a base for our Fastmatch® Range of pigmented Pre-Catalyst, Acid-Catalyst, Waterborne and VLi® PU topcoats.
